This year 2022 The North East Monsoon has started in Tamilnadu, Tiruvarur District Cavery Delta District around Tiruthuraipoondi Block people are affected by floods and storms every year during monsoon.
Cyclone Mandous - 7 December 2022:
The Depression in the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm on Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. Once it forms, it is likely to be named Cyclone Mandous, as suggested by the United Arab Emirates. The cyclone is expected to reach southwest Bay of Bengal, off the coasts of north Tamil Nadu and Puduchery .
It is an area inhabited mostly by agricultural laborers who all live in thatched huts. They are unable to maintain thatched huts on their meager income from daily wage labour. So, Tarpaulin must be provided to the houses/huts during this continuous monsoon season as rainwater enters the house/huts through the roofs and becomes uninhabitable.
Also there is a situation where it is not possible to go to agricultural work in this rainy season. So rice packages and grocery items should be provided. Students in villages have difficulty studying at night due to frequent power outages during rainy season, so solar light should be provided for students to study. We have identified such monsoon affected areas in Thiruthuraipoondi taluk of Thiruvarur district .
Many families currently living in huts should be provided immediately with tarpaulin and rice bags & grocery items.
Budget:-
For One Family
Tarpaulin = Rs 1,100
Rice packages & Grocery items =Rs 1,500
Solar Light = Rs.600
Total Per Family=Rs 3,200
For 100 Families=Rs 3,20,000 (Three lakhs and Twenty Thousand Rupees)
We humbly inform you that according to the amount provided by your organization, Minimum 100 Families, we immediately provide the goods to the families and send photos and information of the beneficiaries.
A receipt will be issued as per Section 80G of the Income Tax Act so that the donations they make are tax-deductible. We got CSR Number from Ministry of Corporate Affairs-Govt of India.
